Familiarization with all Test Methods & Laboratory Procedures
Support and maintain the laboratory operations. Coordinate activities of the section to meet the turnaround time and maintain the laboratory flow process.
Maintain coordination with the team and with fellow coordinators.
Maintain customer relationships, answer queries, and handle complaints and feedback.
Review worksheets before passing on to the laboratory analyst. Work with the operations department to retrieve samples when customers call for re-tests.
Check test results from lab analysts and approach the team leader if suspicious results are detected for a retest.
Review test results with the diagnostic team to identify if retests or any further recommendations/diagnosis are to be done/included.
Release test results to customers upon final review.
Work closely with the team leader to get updates and progress on the batches to meet customers’ turnaround time (TAT).
Monitor registration of samples & completion of the batches of samples to ensure TAT is met.
Understand the full details of contracts & customer requirements.
Provide recommendations to customers based on test results.
Attend to customer queries and visits, email correspondence, and provide quotations.
Resolve customer issues regarding test results and complaints, and update the assistant manager on any customer feedback.
Coordinate delivery and collection of samples.
Ensure the release of error-free reports with a follow-up with customers.
Coordinate on samples management & outsourcing of samples to other SGS laboratories.
Assist the operations team on operational-related matters if applicable.
Review, escalate and request repeat results if abnormalities in result findings occur.
Follow up on the instruments, analysis, and corrective actions.
Perform any other task(s) as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Min Diploma in Chemistry or related discipline.
Preferably at least 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience in a laboratory testing setting.
Positive working attitude.
Team player and hard-working.
Strong coordination skills.
Good time management.
Customer service-oriented with good people management skills.
Must be able to work independently.
Basic mathematics and chemistry skills.
Familiar with handling practice of chemicals/solutions/reagents and applies judgment, acting according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity.
