Job summary

A healthcare recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking a Laboratory Technician responsible for the processing and storage of cord blood units. The ideal candidate has a degree in Biomedical Science and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include laboratory maintenance and generating clinical reports. This is a 5-day work week position with a focus on teamwork and independent work skills.

• Familiarity with maintaining quality records.

Job description

• Directly responsible for the laboratory processing and storage preparation of clients umbilical cord blood units and cord tissue.
• Maintain the laboratory in a clean and organized condition.
• Generate clinical reports as required.
• Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager and Assistant Laboratory Manager to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Biomedical Science or related disciplines with at least 2 years of experience in blood banks / tissue banks / testing / pathology / research / commercial labs.
• Good aseptic technique, experience in tissue / plant culture and the handling of liquid nitrogen will be an added advantage.
• Experience in maintaining quality records will be an added advantage
• Strong sense of responsibility and a good team player
• Able to work independently and without supervision
• 5-days work-week including weekends and public holidays, Working hours: 9am to 6pm
