Job summary

A leading company in the petrochemical industry is seeking a laboratory technician responsible for quality control, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment. Candidates should have experience in Manual Wet Chemistry and be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. This role involves managing quality records and contributing to safety activities while ensuring compliance with standard procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in conducting Manual Wet Chemistry or Manual Lab Testing
• Experience in Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, and Chemical industries is advantageous
• Ability to work overtime and occasionally midnight hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and quality inspections as assigned.
• Maintain quality records and develop quality procedures.
• Implement QA & Safety Activities.

Job description

• Responsible for conducting of laboratory tests and samples and quality inspections assigned to them by the Supervisor.

• Expected to be knowledgeable on all equipment operating procedures as well as all quality control procedures and competent on the use of laboratory equipment.

• Raw material process and finished product quality control analysis

• Advance maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of assigned laboratory equipment

• Maintenance of chemicals and consumables inventory, preparation and standardization of chemical reagents and waste management.

• Maintenance of quality records and development of quality procedures

• Calibration of equipment

• Conduct and contribute to risk assessment, Quality Procedures and Decision making on quality & maintenance

• Procurement of materials and budget controls

• Implementing QA & Safety Activities

• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Experience in conducting Manual Wet Chemistry or Manual Lab Testing is advantageous.

• Experienced in Petrochemical, Oil&Gas and Chemical industries is advantageous.

• Able to work overtime on weekdays, weekend, PH and occasionally mid-night hrs
