Job Description

• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of laboratories, including cleaning floors, sinks, benches, stools, cupboards and equipment such as Bunsen burners and retort stands and disposing of waste.
• Clean and reset laboratories after sessions, including safe disposal of chemicals, cleaning of equipment and surfaces and replenishment of used materials and supplies.
• Wash, dry and store laboratory equipment including glassware, bottle, jugs, aspirators, drums, boilers and hotplates, ensuring items are returned to designated storage areas.
• Label and fill containers with appropriate solutions or powders and distribute them to designated laboratories.
• Conduct regular checks and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Assist in setting up equipment and materials for practical lessons and examinations under the guidance of the Technical Support Officer (TSO).
• Adhere to safety protocols when operating laboratory equipment and handling chemicals.
• Carry out laboratory tasks in accordance with established standard opertaing procedures (SOPs).

Job Requirements

• Completed at least secondary education and able to communicate in English
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in school laboratories; candidates without school experience will also be considered
