Lab Technologist (Oil and Gas/Lead Testing Company) #JYS

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyses with precision and timeliness, ensuring high standards are met
• Step in to support daily lab operations and coordinate team activities when needed
• Guide and supervise Laboratory Analysts, providing mentorship and support
• Contribute to quality control, quality assurance, and ongoing lab improvement projects
• Perform tests using standard methods and procedures, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Act as a representative for the lab during third-party or refinery lab assessments
• Prepare reagents, titration solvents, and test solutions when required
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe lab environment, including equipment upkeep
• Review and follow lab protocols when handling unusual or questionable results
• Willing to work on shifts and take on overtime when necessary
• Carry out on-site or field testing as assigned
• Mentor new or newly promoted analysts, supporting hands-on training when needed
• Demonstrate sound judgment and uphold high ethical standards in all tasks

Requirements:

• Diploma in Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum three years of relevant working experience in Oil, Gas & Chemical laboratory.
• Good knowledge of laboratory processes and safe handling of chemicals.
• Good knowledge and experience in handling Gas Chromatography and other scientific testing instruments.
• High attention to details, meticulous with good time management.
• Results and service-oriented altitude.
• Team player with a positive working attitude.
• Able to multi-task and work independently within challenging timelines.
