A multinational corporation in Singapore is seeking a Lab Specialist to manage laboratory analyses and assist in product formulation. Candidates should have a degree in Chemistry and at least 3 years of experience in an analytical lab, preferably in the petroleum or specialty chemicals sector. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for this role.
Our client, an UK MNC located in Boon Lay Way is looking for outstanding candidates to fill the position of Lab Specialist (Permanent position, Salary : S$60K to S$72K PA, with benefits, such as Bonus, Annual Leave, Medical Leave, etc).
Responsibilities :
Manage and perform laboratory analysis of fuels, deposit and chemical samples to assist in troubleshooting and product performance evaluation.
Assist in development of suitable formulations with existing components, including package stability and no-harm testing, to support business growth.
Responsible for the laboratory and maintain equipment in good and safe working conditions to support generation of quality data.
Responsible for technical support in analytical methods, PDS, MSDS and PSS.
Manage and oversee quality function of AsPac (SAP) and AsPac toll blending facilities.
Prepare technical reports and bulletins on projects undertaken.
Data management: Maintain test data and technical reports for reference.
Sample management: Maintain sample inventory to ensure an efficient system for sending/receiving samples to/from customers.
Responsible for training new CTS colleagues in laboratory analysis, data and sample management.
Coordinate and assist product performance field testing in AsPac.
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Process Technology or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years analytical testing experience in industrial laboratory environment – preferably for petroleum/petrochemical/speciality chemical industry
Computer literate with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills
IQ components: Analytical, skill in problem analysis and problem solving, understand chemistry, refining and QC procedures, hands-on
EQ components: willing to travel (possibly to remote places), culturally aware, good communicator, team worker
Conversant in English.
