Job description

Element has an opportunity for an Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The engineer position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Job Duties:

• Plan the soil testing activities according to client requirements/assignments including site test
• Interpret and verify the client's assignments (e.g., types of tests, timeframe,etc)
• Execute the soil testing works to determine the physical and mechanical of the soil samples: Supervise the technicians to prepare the correct samples for soil testing (e.g., check the assignment and UD soil samples)
• Carry out the soil tests according to BS standards or standards specified by client and disposal of the tested samples according to standard operating procedures
• Collate and record data from testing equipment, generate and check accuracy of the reports for signatory and submit the approved soil testing reports to clients

Job Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in civil engineering, geology or equivalent
• Minimum three year experience
• Good working attitude and basic computer knowledge, ability to multi-task and to work under pressure
• Good team player with ability to handle task independently
• Good knowledge of soil and rock classificatio and familiar with 5S and safety knowledge
