Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a laboratory technician to support flavor compounding activities. You will follow approved formulas, weigh materials accurately, and ensure all tasks are completed within timelines while maintaining high accuracy and clean working conditions.

You will verify batch numbers, perform quality checks on appearance and color, assist with inventory management for library flavors, and ensure proper storage and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Min Nitec/ Diploma in Food Science or related qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Compound flavor samples according to approved formulas.
• Weigh materials accurately using laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accuracy to minimize rework and material wastage.
• Verify materials, batch numbers, and quantities before use.
• Perform quality checks on appearance and color where required.
• Review and manage inventory levels of library flavors.
• Clean lab equipment, glassware and apparatus after use.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures, SOPs and quality requirements.
• Assist with inventory management and material replenishment.
• Ensure materials stored at correct temperature and location to ensure quality and safety.

Duties

• Compound flavor samples according to approved formulas and instructions.
• Accurately weigh the materials using laboratory equipment.
• Ensure all compounding activities are completed within the required timelines.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy to minimize rework and material wastage.
• Verify materials, batch numbers, and quantities before use.
• Perform quality checks, including appearance & color where required.
• Review and ensure optimal inventory level of library flavors.
• Clean lab equipment, glassware and apparatus after use.
• Follow all laboratory safety procedures, SOPs, and quality requirements.
• Assist with inventory management and material replenishment.
• Acquiring materials from the production / warehouse for compounding
• Ensure materials used in the laboratory are stored at correct temperature and location to ensure quality and safety
• To carry any additional job-related duties as assigned from time to time, when and where necessary
• Maintain good housekeeping and a clean and safe working environment in the laboratory.
• To carry out any additional job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
