Job summary

Singapore Polytechnic is seeking a proactive lab technician to support AR/VR projects and other AeroHub labs. You will help ensure safety procedures are followed, assist academic staff on teaching, and supervise students on project works while maintaining equipment and labs.

The candidate should have a tertiary qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering with 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical environment, and be proficient in programming, Unity, Blender, Adobe

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• 2–3 years hands-on experience in a Mechanical Engineering environment.
• Experience in programming, Unity, Blender, Adobe Creative Suite, app and website development.
• Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provided technical assistance and support for lab with regards to ARVR Projects and other labs in the AeroHub and support consultancy projects.
• Ensure Staff and students adhere to safety procedures, and have proper attire.
• Support/Assist/Conduct lab experiments for both PET and CET courses.
• Ensure that equipment and machines are in working order safe for operations.
• Planning and Ordering of raw materials if required for Lab/FYP use.
• Contact Estates for related service request pertaining to lab facilities
• Attend to asset management activities. i.e write off, asset verification, storage.
• Planning for machine and equipment maintenance.
