Job summary

Job description

Lab Analyst

  • Salary: $2,300 - $2,800 (Depends on experience)
  • Working Days: Monday - Friday
  • Working hours: 8.15am - 5.30pm
  • Location: Gul Circle, Jurong
  • Transport provided at Lakeside & Boon Lay MRT stations

Job Responsibilities
  1. Assist in projects on new/current product development and process control.
  2. Conduct real-time stability studies to assess product quality variation upon storage in oven, lab, and warehouse conditions.
  3. Ensure proper installation and maintenance of all test instruments and equipment. Conduct periodic calibration if necessary.
  4. Support company or tolling customers' productions. Perform routine QC testing in a timely manner.
  5. Assist in product refinement to enhance quality and/or cost effectiveness.
  6. Perform recipe verification to reduce the impact of raw material variances on the quality of final products.
  7. Evaluate and assess the quality of samples received from new/existing suppliers to determine suitability for use as qualified raw materials or finished products.
  8. Inspect (may involve sampling process), test, and analyze raw materials/3rd party/finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and/or customer requirements. Report any discrepancies to the HOD. Ensure quality conformance and maintain proper documentation as per ISO procedures.
  9. Conduct/evaluate cause analysis/investigate non-conforming raw materials/products/processes/equipment with HOD/QC Executive and/or cross-department colleagues and document in non-conformance reports.
  10. Prepare & test samples for registration, certification bodies, customers, 3rd party labs, field trials, etc.
  11. Perform monthly housekeeping and maintenance of the lab as per duty roster.
  12. Assist the HOD in implementing quality standards and procedures.
  13. Perform overtime and shift work as necessary.
  14. Update the equipment maintenance master list.
  15. Update and inform QC Executive to purchase lab inventories as needed (e.g., gloves, solvents, glassware, standards).
  16. Update lab SOP/WI/RA as necessary.
  17. Inform HOD/QC Executive about lab waste disposal.
  18. Provide technical support as needed.
  19. Stay updated on products, materials, and technologies.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science & Technology, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, or related science disciplines.
