- Provide Level 2 production support for banking applications and systems.
- Monitor production environments, identify incidents, and ensure timely resolution.
- Perform deep-dive root cause analysis of technical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with L1 teams, developers, and infrastructure teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs), application health checks, and batch monitoring.
- Escalate critical issues to L3 support or development teams when necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs and documentation of issues, resolutions, and preventive measures.
- Participate in release deployments, system patching, and environment validations.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL practices and internal compliance/security standards.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments – able to read logs, run shell commands, and troubleshoot OS-level issues.
- Proficiency in SQL – write and optimize queries, analyze data, identify issues, and generate reports.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace).
- Understanding of ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Remedy, or similar.
- Good grasp of batch jobs, file transfers (SFTP), and job schedulers (e.g., Control-M).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
