A local childcare provider in Singapore is looking for dedicated educators to conduct lessons and supervise children, promoting their development and creativity in a supportive environment. Ideal candidates will have experience in early childhood education and strong communication skills to work with children and parents. The role involves planning activities and encouraging children's social and language skills through various teaching methods.
Qualifications
- Experience in early childhood education.
- Ability to conduct structured lessons and monitor child development.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with children and parents.
Responsibilities
- Conduct lessons according to lesson plans.
- Supervise and work with teacher aides.
- Promote language development through storytelling and drama.
- Observe children to evaluate their progress.
- Conduct lessons according to lesson plans
- Adhere to stipulated timetables/timelines
- Carry out all SOPs accurately and diligently
- Exhibit Positive guidance towards children and fellow colleagues
- Supervise and work with teacher aides.
- Plan and evaluate activities using a variety of materials and equipment to develop good coordination, social skills, creativity, self-expression and interest in learning
- Promote language development and self-confidence through storytelling, drama, music and discussions
- Help to organise and participate in excursions to enhance learning experiences
- Encourage children to question and explore the world in which they live.
- Observe children to evaluate and record their progress and recommend appropriate programs for further development and to detect signs of learning disabilities.
- Promoting health and safety concepts and social interaction with other children
- Promoting awareness and appreciation and multicultural society in which we live.
- Attending to sick children and those in need of first aid
- Comforting children who are distressed.
- Helping children establish good personal hygiene habits.
- Working with parents to promote understanding of their child’s growth and development; encourage parent participation in school programmes.
- Conducting Parent-Teacher conferences on each child’s school adjustment, classroom behaviour, and developmental progress.
- Participating in recommended training programmes, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practices.
- Maintaining a professional attitude and loyalty to RSH at all times.
- Maintaining the general cleanliness and hygiene of RSH
