Job summary

A leading company in Singapore seeks an IT Support Specialist for 24x7 Data Center operations. The role includes troubleshooting, user support, and implementing changes while managing a rotating shift schedule. Candidates should have a diploma in IT or equivalent, with relevant experience and preferably certifications in Microsoft or ITIL.

  • Provide 24 x 7 support for Data Center, assist with incidents, and escalate unsolvable problems.
  • Maintaining and updating user account information, applying OS updates, and integrating new technologies.

Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • To provide 24 x 7 support for Data Center running on 12 hours shift

  • Assisting the Customer in the verification, isolation and/or provision of atemporary work around for the incident/problem logged.

  • Resolving the incident/problem onsite.

  • Escalating unsolvable problems and service requests to the System and/orSoftware Engineer and reporting the escalation to the Project Manager.

  • Generating the relevant administrative records and reports.

  • Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing environments.

  • Applying operating system updates, patches, and configuration changes.

  • Adding, removing, or updating user account information, resettingpasswords, etc.

  • Answering technical queries

  • Maintaining the configuration of the system.

  • To implement Service Request and Change Request

  • Contacting OEM/Vendor for technical support

Period:

  • 1 year outsourced contract

Working Hours:

  • 12 hours rotating shift(work 2 days, rest 2 days) (8pm-8am or 8am-8 pm)

Salary:

  • Up to $3800 + Shift allowance $350

Working Location:

  • Ang Mo Kio

Job Requirements:

  • Possess at least a Diploma in ComputerScience/Electronics/IT or equivalent

  • Minimum 1 year of relevantworking experience in ITinfrastructure operation

Special Knowledge or Skills:

  • Preferably with Microsoft Certification and/or ITIL certification.

  • Good Knowledge of following products will be advantageous:

  • -Linux

  • -Unix

  • -Active Directory/DNS

  • -Microsoft Azure Stack

  • -Microsoft Windows 2016-2022

  • -Commvault Backup and Recovery

  • -Symantec Endpoint Protection

  • ITIL certification will be an advantage.
