Responsible for the patching and vulnerability management of infrastructure environments across data centers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute patching activities on Database systems (MSSQL, Oracle) and Linux servers.
  • Monitor systems to ensure successful patch deployment and generate reports on compliance and effectiveness.
  • Conduct daily health checks on Linux servers and report any issues not already flagged by monitoring tools.
  • Escalate major patching and vulnerability issues to L2/L3 support teams as needed.
  • Initiate and manage change requests for patch implementation in alignment with internal Change Control and ITIL standards.
  • Communicate patch schedules and change plans with application and business owners to ensure coordination.
  • Participate in shift-based work as part of a potential 24x7 operational model.
  • Perform additional related duties as reasonably assigned.

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of experience executing patches on databases (MSSQL, Oracle) and Linux systems.
  • Basic proficiency in Linux/Unix commands and system administration.
  • Familiarity with VMware environments.
  • Experience in database patching and L1-level troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of Windows OS (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Knowledge of Oracle and MariaDB databases.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams with effective collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends.
