A technology services company in Singapore is looking for an L1 Engineer to monitor network health, perform basic troubleshooting, and manage asset documentation. Candidates should have a minimum of 1 year experience in networking and must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents. This contract role offers a remuneration of $3,500 plus allowances with a completion bonus.
Role: L1 Engineer
Working Hours: 8:30 am to 9:00 pm (Mondays to Fridays)
Location: Changi
Type of Role: Contract (1 + 1 year) (Must commit to this duration) (Conversion to Permanent)
Remuneration: $3,500 + $300 (mobile and transport allowance)
Remuneration: Completion Bonus: 1st year - $2,350 (payable on 31 March 2026 - subject to contract completion and individual performance)
Remuneration: Completion Bonus: 2nd year - $3,500 (payable on 31 March 2027 - subject to contract completion and individual performance)
Start Date: 1 AUG 2025 (G50 Security Clearance required, process takes about 1 month)
Primary Responsibilities:
Network Monitoring: Use tools such as SolarWinds and CA for network health checks and issue detection.
Basic Troubleshooting: Execute basic network commands like ping and tracert for connectivity diagnosis.
Physical Checks: Perform on-site hardware inspections and physical verification of network devices.
Escort Duties: Accompany vendors, project teams, and personnel for:
Preventive maintenance (PM)
Project deployments
Ad-hoc visits
File Transfers: Assist the server team with secure file transfers as needed.
Asset Management
Maintain and update the HTX master asset list.
Prepare and update the quarterly End of Support Life (EOSL) report (asset dashboard).
Onboarding & Offboarding
Onboarding:
Coordinate onboarding for new engineers, including:
Security clearance
Access pass issuance
Laptop and equipment provisioning
Offboarding:
Manage the offboarding process for departing engineers, including:
Exit form tracking and follow-up
Retrieval of issued assets
Visitor Clearance
Submit and monitor SPS visitor clearance requests.
Ensure timely follow-up and coordination for approvals.
To note:
There are 1 main HQ site and 28 remote sites.
Support hour is from 8.30am till 6pm for all the sites (except for HQ site).
Support at HQ site may require the support personnel to stay up till 9pm(up till 3 times a week).
Support team for Item 1- 8 will be located at 3 separate locations (except for item 4).
For Item 4, support team will need to perform escorts at 1 main HQ site and 28 remote sites (up to 8 sites per day)
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year experience in networking, basic troubleshooting experience.
SG Citizens and Permanent Residence status only.
