KYC Analyst - PBWM / SOW

This role is for our client, a Global Financial Services specializing in asset & wealth management and corporate & investment banking.

This is a 6-12 months contract role - renewable!

Responsibilities:

1. Perform KYC due diligence for new and existing clients across Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Malaysia, Australia, Taiwan, and Japan as Maker or Checker.
2. Conduct client checks focusing on PEPs, adverse news, and reputational risks.
3. Coordinate with Front Office and Client Office teams to collect KYC documents.
4. Escalate complex cases to APAC Compliance or Head Office Financial Security when necessary.
5. Provide KYC guidance and share expertise with junior team members and other departments.
6. Maintain and update client static data in the KYC database and ensure accurate MIS reporting.
7. Reconcile KYC statuses with account records and address discrepancies.
8. Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize deliverables and ensure timely case completion.
9. Participate in transformation projects, UAT testing, and ad hoc screenings as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, or related field.
2. 2–3 years of KYC/CDD experience in Corporate Investment Banking with solid AML/CFT knowledge.
3. Exposure in SOW/Source of Wealth.
4. Familiarity with Asian KYC regulations (HKMA, MAS, CBRC, PBOC, FSC).
5. Strong proficiency in English and Mandarin, with the ability to read Simplified and Traditional Chinese for this role will cover Hong Kong and Malaysia markets.
6. Excellent attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills.
7. Self-motivated and capable of managing tasks independently under tight deadlines.
8. Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork mindset.
9. Proficiency in Excel is a plus.
