Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation or restaurant kitchens is an advantage but not mandatory
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safe handling practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
• Willingness to learn and follow supervisor instructions
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Physically fit to stand for long periods and perform kitchen tasks
• Responsible and reliable with commitment to food quality and hygiene
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and cooking of food according to recipes and standards
• Prepare ingredients by washing, cutting, peeling, measuring, and portioning
• Support chefs and cooks in daily kitchen operations
• Ensure food is prepared and presented to quality and hygiene standards
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations
• Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing food ingredients and supplies
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and safety procedures at all times
• Monitor ingredient levels and inform supervisors when replenishment is needed
• Participate in opening and closing duties of the kitchen
• Perform other kitchen-related duties as assigned by management
