Job description

We are hiring on behalf of our Michelin-starred restaurant client for a dedicated Kitchen Steward to support kitchen operations. The role involves maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the kitchen.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils; clean and sanitize all kitchen surfaces, work areas, and equipment to meet health and safety standards
  • Waste Management: Empty, clean, and re-line waste bins; dispose of general waste and recycling
  • Stock and Delivery Management: Receive and unload deliveries, organize food storage areas, and ensure supplies are stored properly
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Keep floors clean, wipe down appliances and surfaces, and perform general kitchen maintenance to ensure a clean and orderly environment
  • Other ad hoc duties and stock taking etc

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Advantageous if they have an existing basic food hygiene certificate
  • 6 Days Work Week, able to work weekends and public holidays
