Job description

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to assist in the day-to-day operations at Kakis Kitchen - our community cafe dedicated to serve as an outreach point for seniors and also serving delicious local food (non-halal) and beverages at affordable prices for the community.

The ideal candidate will support the main chef and senior kitchen staff by performing routine tasks, including food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, and maintaining a hygienic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with food preparation tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Wash pots, pans, and other kitchen tools.
  • Receive and store food supplies and kitchen inventory.
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, organized, and properly stocked.
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

  • Possess WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1 Certification.
  • Able to work on Tuesday till Friday (8am-5pm) & Saturday (7am-3pm).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and safety.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long periods.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from main chef & senior kitchen staff.
