Qualifications

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and organized Kitchen Coordinator Executive to oversee and manage daily kitchen operations within a hospital environment. This role requires a responsible individual with strong communication skills and hands-on kitchen experience to ensure timely, accurate, and hygienic preparation and distribution of patient meals.


Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Coordinate and oversee the assembly and arrangement of patient meal trays according to dietary requirements and schedules.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the nutrition/dietary and ward teams to ensure accurate meal delivery.
  • Manage kitchen workflow, including meal preparation timing, tray logistics, and kitchen cleanliness.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to meal service and kitchen operations.
  • Conduct staff briefings, delegate tasks, and ensure accountability across shifts.
  • Support stock control and kitchen supplies ordering in collaboration with procurement.
  • Handle operational issues efficiently and maintain a professional kitchen environment

Requirements
  • Proven kitchen experience, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English (for accurate communication with dieticians, nurses, and staff).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a small team.
  • Familiarity with basic food safety standards and kitchen hygiene protocols.
  • Reliable, responsible, and able to work under time constraints.
  • Willingness to work weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
