Job summary

WSH Experts Pte Ltd is seeking personnel to support NFS kitchen housekeeping, maintenance and food hygiene management in our lab environments. The role includes maintaining safety standards, handling kitchen equipment, and assisting with administrative tasks related to food orders and inventory during laboratory sessions.

The ideal candidate will manage cooking appliances, transport ingredients between levels, prepare ingredients for lessons, and ensure proper food storage and documentation.

Qualifications

• Competency in kitchen housekeeping and maintenance.
• Ability to manage kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Support security and safety procedures, including knife storage.
• Handle food orders and maintain inventory records.
• Prepare ingredients and hygiene-related duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain orderliness and safety standards in the NFS food laboratory (kitchen) and preparation room.
• Laundering of cleaning cloths and aprons; clean and maintain equipment and utensils.
• Organise student workstations after each lesson.
• Manage kitchen equipment and appliances.
• Verify security and safety procedures; ensure main gas taps and electrical switches are off.
• Ensure proper food storage; sort leftovers and expiry-based ingredients.
• Transport ingredients from Level 1 to Level 3 kitchens and pre-lesson prep.
• Set up ingredients, weigh and portion; organise refrigerators and cupboards.
• Operate kitchen and food science equipment; use scales, blenders, steamers, rice cookers.
• Process food orders and maintain inventory records; provide support during sessions.
• Document order verification, receipts and labelling.
