    Department: India Global Sales OfficeCompany: Cinnamon Hotels & ResortsLocation: Chennai, IndiaJob Overview:The Key Account Director (KAD) at Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts India Global Sales Office will be responsible for driving global sales across all properties, focusing on MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) outbound business, intermediary partners, and corporate accounts. This role will involve developing and managing key client relationships, expanding market share, and achieving sales contribution targets.The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of the MICE sector, including handling intermediaries (travel agents, event planners) and direct corporate clients, with a strong understanding of outbound MICE travel from India to Indian Ocean destinations.Key Responsibilities:1. Sales & Business Development Develop and execute strategies to drive MICE sales and expand revenue from intermediary partners and corporate accounts. Grow India outbound MICE business to Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts properties. Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, MICE agencies, and travel intermediaries. Identify new business opportunities and secure global preferred agreements and partnerships. Leverage market intelligence to identify key trends, potential clients, and competitor activities. Represent Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts at key MICE trade events, roadshows, and industry forums.2. Financial & Revenue Management Implement pricing strategies to optimize revenue from managed accounts. Maximize revenue through global sales platforms, cross-selling opportunities, and multi-hotel brand promotions. Ensure all sales and account management activities align with company financial goals. Regularly analyze and report sales performance, market trends, and revenue impact.3. Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for MICE clients and key corporate accounts. Conduct sales calls and business meetings to strengthen relationships and secure bookings. Ensure seamless coordination between hotels, operations teams, and clients for event execution. Develop and maintain long-term strategic client relationships.4. Marketing & Brand Representation Promote Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts as a preferred destination for MICE and corporate travel. Work closely with marketing teams to create MICE-specific campaigns and sales materials. Assist in planning and executing India Showcase events in key cities.5. Reporting & Administration Utilize CRM tools and sales reporting systems to track performance and client engagement. Provide regular updates and reports on sales progress, account development, and market insights. Participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and corporate strategy discussions.Qualifications & Requirements:Education & Experience: Bachelors degree or diploma in Business, Hospitality, Sales, or Marketing. Minimum 5-7 years of experience in MICE sales, global hotel sales, or corporate account management. Strong understanding of the India outbound MICE market and global MICE travel trends. Prior experience handling MICE intermediary accounts (DMCs, travel agents, event planners) and direct corporate accounts.Technical Skills & Competencies: Expertise in MICE sales, key account management, and revenue optimization. Strong negotiation skills and experience managing large-scale RFPs and tenders. Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to analyze market trends and develop data-driven sales strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems (Salesforce). Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.Preferred Attributes: Strong network within the MICE travel industry in India. Ability to work independently and represent multiple properties across different markets. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
