Job summary

Keppel is seeking a motivated intern to support its solar PV operations within the Infrastructure segment. You will monitor real-time solar systems using SCADA, identify faults, and assist in optimizing energy yield under experienced engineers.

The role includes helping develop maintenance plans, keeping detailed outage and activity records, and preparing regular O&M performance reports for stakeholders. This hands-on opportunity emphasizes learning solar technology and energy efficiency

Responsibilities

• Propose enhancements to monitoring systems and O&M documents such as SOPs, MSRA, ERP etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The intern will be responsible in the following:

• Perform analytical monitoring on real-time solar systems using SCADA to maximize energy yield, detect hidden faults and optimize performance.
• Assist Maintenance Engineer to develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment, including scheduling preventive maintenance and coordinating corrective maintenance activities.
• Maintains detailed records of unplanned outages, maintenance activities, and incidents.
• Prepare regular reports on O&M activities, performance metrics and total energy generation for stakeholders.
• Propose enhancements to monitoring systems and O&M documents such as Standard Operating Procedure (SOPs), Method of Statement & Risk Assessment (MS&RA), Emergency Response Plan (ERP) etc.

Learning Outcomes: Support the engineering team in the operation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role offers hands‑on exposure to solar technology, system monitoring, and energy efficiency practices, while providing opportunities to learn from experienced engineers.
