Position: Junior Trader, Public Equity

We are hiring on behalf of a premier Asia-focused investment firm, renowned for its expertise across both private and public markets. With a conviction-driven approach, they invest alongside their clients to deliver compelling risk-adjusted returns.

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Trader to join a dynamic trading desk. This role plays a critical part in executing trades for both long-short and long-only strategy funds, contributing to trade execution, market analysis, and portfolio management.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute trades across global public equity, OTC and listed derivatives, and FX markets in line with the firm’s investment strategies.
• Provide market insights to Portfolio Managers, tracking trends and economic indicators that impact portfolio positions.
• Collaborate closely with Portfolio Managers and analysts to develop and refine trading strategies.
• Ensure accurate trade execution and maintain compliance with internal policies and regulations.
• Assist in the development of trading algorithms and tools to enhance efficiency.
• Deliver timely trading performance reports to the Senior Trader and CIO.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; CFA certification preferred.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in trading or investment analysis, ideally from the buy-side.
• Strong understanding of trading platforms, market dynamics, and execution strategies.
• Proficiency in Bloomberg, FactSet, and other financial research tools.
• Programming skills (Python, SQL, C++) are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
