is seeking a Junior Technical Engineer to provide on-site technical support for precast concrete and formwork systems, coordinate installations with main contractors and subcontractors, and ensure work is performed according to drawings and specifications. You will assist the Site Technical Manager in planning daily activities, supervise installation works for quality and safety, and help maintain project records while liaising with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management.

• Experience in precast construction or formwork is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Singapore WSH regulations is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English; Chinese literacy preferred.

Job Description

TheJunior Technical Engineeris responsible for providing technical support, coordination, and supervision for the installation of precast concrete systems, formwork systems, and other construction solutions at project sites. The role ensures that all installation works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and Singapore's regulatory requirements.

The Construction Technical Engineer works closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to provide technical expertise throughout project execution while supporting the Site Technical Manager in delivering projects on time, within quality standards, and in compliance with workplace safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Project Coordination

• Provide on-site technical support for the installation of precast concrete systems, formwork systems, and other construction products.

• Coordinate installation activities with clients (main contractors), consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams.

• Review construction drawings, installation sequences, and technical specifications prior to site execution.

• Assist in planning installation methodologies and resolving technical issues encountered during construction.

• Coordinate delivery schedules, lifting operations, logistics, and material movements to ensure smooth site operations.

• Attend project coordination meetings and provide technical advice and progress updates.

• Support the Site Technical Manager in planning daily work schedules and resource allocation.

Site Supervision & Quality Assurance

• Supervise installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.

• Conduct routine site inspections to monitor workmanship and installation quality.

• Identify defects, non-conformance, or technical issues and coordinate corrective actions promptly.

• Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of precast components and formwork equipment.

• Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, quality documentation, and project progress reports.

• Assist in improving installation efficiency and construction methodologies.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all site activities comply with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act, subsidiary regulations, and company safety policies.

• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with site safety procedures.

• Conduct toolbox meetings and safety briefings before commencement of work.

• Monitor lifting operations, equipment usage, and installation activities to ensure safe execution.

• Identify unsafe conditions or unsafe work practices and implement corrective actions immediately.

• Liaise with clients' safety officers, subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders regarding workplace safety requirements.

• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel.

Stakeholder Management

Management

• Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal departments.

• Provide technical clarification and support during project execution.

• Build positive working relationships to facilitate efficient project delivery.

• Assist in resolving technical, quality, or scheduling issues in a timely manner.

General Duties

• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Site Technical Manager or Project Management team.

Requirements:

Education:

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Experience:

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

• Candidates with experience in precast construction, formwork systems, construction site supervision, or technical support will have an added advantage.

• Familiarity with construction drawings, installation methods, and construction site operations is preferred.

• Knowledge of Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations is an advantage.

• Training will be provided on company products, installation methodologies, and technical procedures.

Language Proficiency:

• Proficient in English.

• Able to read and write Chinese to liaise with HQ and Chinese-speaking colleagues.

Skills & Competencies:

• Good understanding of construction site operations, precast systems, and formwork installation practices.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.

• Strong coordination and communication skills with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
