A leading transport company in Singapore is seeking a Junior Systems & Data Analyst to enhance its digital transformation efforts. We are looking for a versatile and detail-oriented Junior Systems & Data Analyst to support the digital transformation efforts of our bus transportation services. This role offers hands-on experience with both software and hardware technologies used in the land transport industry. You will be involved in a cross-functional role that bridges operations, IT, and data — providing exposure to real-world transport challenges and how digital tools and analytics improve efficiency and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Analysis & Hardware Support
Support the designing, configuration and testing of transport-related systems to automate processes, streamline operations and improve UX.
Assist in the deployment, configuration, and day-to-day monitoring of in-bus hardware.
Coordinate with hardware vendors or internal technicians to troubleshoot and resolve system and device issues.
Data Analytics & Reporting
Collect and clean operational data (e.g., ridership patterns, punctuality, vehicle allocation).
Design and automate recurring reports to track KPIs, operational efficiency, and performance.
Support management with data needed for strategic planning and compliance.
Present data in a visual and easy-to-understand format using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
Training & Documentation
Create user guides, process manuals, and quick reference materials for staff and users (e.g., drivers, riders).
Conduct onboarding and training sessions for staff on systems and standard operating procedures.
Gather feedback from users and support continuous improvement in training and system adoption.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related fields.
At least 1 year of work experience involving systems or data analysis is preferred. Candidates without experience are welcome.
Technical Skills:
Basic proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables) and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Understanding of databases and data analysis concepts (SQL knowledge is a bonus).
Interest in transport operations and how digital tools support service delivery.
Soft Skills:
Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Good Mandarin is preferred (to communicate effectively with drivers and ground staff).
Detail-oriented with a logical and analytical mindset.
Willingness to learn and work closely with both frontline and back-end teams.
Able to manage time effectively and handle multiple responsibilities.
