Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor kitchen staff, ensuring proper hygiene and adherence to food safety standards.
- Prepare a wide range of dishes, including brunch items, fresh salads, and house-made baked goods.
- Develop and introduce seasonal menus, and contribute ideas for special promotions or events.
- Oversee food quality and consistency to maintain high standards for every service.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Monitor inventory and ensure timely ordering of supplies when required.
Key Requirements
- Prior experience as a Sous Chef or kitchen lead in a café, deli, or casual dining venue would be advantageous
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of café-style cuisine.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
