Gentco Logistics seeks a Junior Product/Project Manager to join the Global IT Department. You will own end-to-end business applications and data projects, collaborating with engineers, analysts, and business users across Gentco.
As a junior, you’ll work with a senior project lead, growing into ownership of a product or IT business partnership over time. Ideal candidates are quick learners with a background in maritime, supply chain, or analytics, fluent in English and Mandarin, and capable of
Gentco Logistics is a leading international liquid chemical logistics provider with three core business units: chemical tankers (5th largest fleet globally), chemical tank containers (2nd largest fleet globally), and terminal storage tanks. Our global headquarters are in Shanghai, China, supported by are gional headquarters in Singapore and 40 operational offices across six continents. Gentco Logistics is wholly owned by the Junzheng Group (ticker601216.SH).
The Junior Product/Project Manager position is a part of the Global IT Department, which is directly overseen by the Group’s CIO. Our team currently comprises over 40IT, software, and data professionals primarily based in Shanghai and Moerdijk(the Netherlands). With our IT presence in Singapore rapidly expanding, we are excited to invite you to join our team!
Our Junior product/project managers own business applications and data projects end-to-end, working with our engineers, analysts, and business users across Gentco. As an example of the kind of work involved: we are currently building a decision-making hub for our tanker shipping division, bringing together data from our shipping systems, the internal and external data needed for commercial and operational decisions, and the algorithms and people that make those decisions. A project like this means gathering requirements from chartering and operations teams, working with our data engineers and analysts on what to build, and driving delivery through to adoption. We also think a lot about what product management and software development look like in the LLM era, and we like people who are curious about it: not vibe coding, but tinkering with agent harnesses, setting up agentic workflows, and working out where they change how a team builds and runs software.
As a junior, you would work alongside a senior project lead on a project like this: owning workstreams, gathering requirements, keeping the plan and documentation current, and growing into owning a product yourself.
Over time, this role can grow in two directions: becoming the Product Manager of a major product, owning it end-to-end for its users across Gentco; or becoming an IT Business Partner for one of our business units, managing a portfolio of applications and projects over time. Both need strong project management; which one suits you will show in the work.
