Job summary

HCLTech in Singapore is seeking a Platform Engineer to manage cloud and on‑prem infrastructure, monitor health and performance, and perform routine maintenance and patching. You will troubleshoot issues and participate in incident resolution while deploying and managing resources in Azure, AWS, or GCP.

The role emphasizes optimizing costs, maintaining runbooks, and collaborating with application teams to meet platform requirements. A strong focus on CI/CD with GitLab is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/IT/CS required.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in cloud/infrastructure.
• Hands-on with TS/Node.js; Python exposure is a plus.

Skills Requirement

• Bachelors degree in Engineering/Information Technology/Computer science
• 2-3 years of experience in relevant field
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript (TS) / Node.js; exposure to Python is an added advantage.
• Comfortable working across multiple technologies, including Spring Boot / Java, Maven, .NET, Docker, Jib, Helm, GitLab CI
• Good knowledge of GitLab CI, including Pipelines, Runners, Caching & Artifacts
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities in CI/CD environments, including:
• Identifying flaky versus genuine failures
• Resolving runner and environment-related issues
• Good understanding of Git, including:
• Conflict resolution, Rebase and interactive rebase
• Commit hygiene, Merge Request (MR) workflows
• Branching strategies, Reflog, cherry-pick, revert recovery

Good to Have

• Experience with on-call support and incident response.
• Prior exposure to Developer Platform Engineering.
• Experience in developing or supporting internal engineering tools and platforms.
