Junior Medical Technologist (5 days office hours)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Co-operate with doctors and other healthcare providers to ensure smooth delivery of services to patients.
• Demonstrate basic skills and knowledge in delivering services to patients.
• Perform all neurophysiological and neurosonographical diagnostic tests as requested by doctors.
• Be responsible for preliminary test reporting.
• Record results in computer and ensure reports are given to the doctor in charge for vetting.
• Ensure reports are ready for dispatch to clinics/wards within the stipulated time frame.
• Be responsible for proper filing of reports for easy retrieval.
• Use consumables and supplies properly and economically.
• Maintain adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables, replenishing as needed.
• Maintain and demonstrate proper use and care of equipment.
• Check and calibrate lab equipment and instruments to ensure good working order, including emergency equipment.
• Keep service maintenance records of equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Attend to patients’ feedback/enquiries, perform service recovery, and provide information when appropriate.
• Handle telephone enquiries/calls and trace results when requested.
• Participate in service quality activities/programs.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma in Medical Science or Biotechnology.
