Job Scope
Perform blood specimen collection using various techniques such as venipuncture, capillary collection, and heel pricks.
Conduct phlebotomy and ECG procedures with accuracy and professionalism.
Perform Point of Care Testing (e.g., Prothrombin Time, glucose) and clinical lab tests, including urinalysis, haematology, biochemistry, and microscopy.
Ensure proper specimen identification, accession, processing, and storage following laboratory best practices.
Verify and validate test results, identify discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
Provide clinicians with accurate, reliable, and timely test results.
Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and quality control.
Comply with hand hygiene, workplace safety, and regulatory accreditation requirements, including IPSG and ISO standards.
Job Requirements
Diploma in Medical Technology or a related science field.
At least 1 year of experience in a laboratory environment or phlebotomy preferred.
Strong attention to detail with good documentation and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
