A leading engineering company in Singapore seeks a Facilities Engineer to execute O&M tasks and conduct inspections. The ideal candidate will have a diploma in engineering, at least 3 years of experience, and strong problem-solving skills. You will ensure high-quality maintenance and safety standards while effectively communicating with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Execute and complete scheduled operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks, along with ad-hoc maintenance activities, within set timelines and with the highest quality standards.
Conduct routine inspections and checks of each equipment and process unit, accurately filling out and submitting checklists to the supervisor without delay.
Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance tasks, submitting maintenance records and checklists promptly to the supervisor.
Address equipment breakdowns with corrective maintenance, ensuring all checklists and records are submitted to the supervisor.
Report any equipment abnormalities or failures to the supervisor and assist in implementing rectification plans.
Support operations activities as needed.
Perform initial troubleshooting for equipment issues and report findings to the supervisor; assist in more advanced troubleshooting when required.
Supervise maintenance contractors to ensure work is completed to standard.
Promptly alert the supervisor to any unusual occurrences or potential damages.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures, rules, and regulations.
Manage equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by monitoring stock levels and anticipating the need for spare parts.
Undertake other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Diploma in engineering or Higher Nitec (mechanical, electrical, or industrial)
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities engineering or similar
Strong communication skills with a positive mindset, hardworking, and capable of multi-tasking effectively.
Customer Service oriented mindset
Knowledge of fire alarm systems.
Understanding of building regulations and health and safety.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work well with non-engineering colleagues.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot on the spot.
