Job summary

Private Advertiser in Singapore is seeking a motivated and hands-on Junior Interior Designer with 2–3 years of residential design experience. You should have strong design sense, solid technical fundamentals, and be fast at 3D modelling and visualization to support our design and construction projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Interior Design or related discipline.
• Approximately 2–3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in residential interior design.
• Highly proficient and fast in SketchUp and/or other 3D modelling software.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for technical and construction drawings.
• Experience with rendering software such as Enscape, V-Ray, D5 Render, Lumion or equivalent.
• Ability to translate ideas and reference images into workable 3D designs efficiently.
• Good understanding of materials, finishes, carpentry detailing and basic construction methods.
• Able to manage multiple design tasks and revisions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, space planning, layouts and material selections for residential projects.
• Produce 3D models and renderings quickly and accurately for design presentations and client discussions.
• Translate design concepts and approved 3D designs into detailed drawings for construction and fabrication.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, carpentry details and other technical drawings.
• Revise drawings and 3D models efficiently based on client, consultant and site feedback.
• Assist with material, furniture, sanitaryware, lighting and finishes selection.
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, suppliers and fabricators to ensure design intent is properly executed.
• Attend site meetings, conduct site measurements and assist with resolving design-related site issues.
• Maintain proper documentation and organization of drawings, specifications and material information.
• Support the design team throughout the project from concept design to construction and completion.
