Job Description

Based in our Singapore office, we are looking for a Junior Fixed Income Credit Analyst to join our IGM Credit Team.

Focus areas will include providing real-time, insightful content to tight deadlines that leverages from, and showcases IGM’s new issue data, which also helps our customers stay abreast of market conditions while informing better and faster decision making.

IGM’s credit market coverage focuses on the primary syndicated bond market, tracking new issues individually and in aggregate, while seeking to present value-added intelligence through an innovative mix of reports and data visualisation.

The successful candidate will contribute to the production and delivery of various Excel spreadsheet initiatives and the creation and publication of data visualization driven intelligence that showcases IGM’s credit data sets.

The successful candidate will also progress to producing deal previews and review reports as well as broader industry commentary as their understanding of the credit market increases as part of their development.

The ideal applicant should be enthusiastic and willing to learn, work well within a team as well as independently and be strongly motivated to shape her/his working experience and career inside our growing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Real-time coverage of Asia Pacific bond markets, including USD plus regional/local currency issuance.
• Updating and publishing Excel spreadsheet data points and utilising related data sets to produce value-added graphics that complement IGM’s credit analysis.
• Collating and delivering various new issue data related snapshots and other content as part of IGM’s flagship credit reports in Asia Pacific.
• Further developing and maintaining a deep regional contact base, cultivating sources from both sell-side (bank) and buy-side (investor) communities.
• Eventually contributing to pre- and post-launch analysis of major deals utilising timely and accurate market derived information (rumours, price talk, book-build and pricing analysis versus comparables).
• Providing cover for colleagues across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications
Skills and Experience:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language).
• Financial or economics related degree preferred.
• Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to tight editorial deadlines.
• Proficiency at using Excel to produce pivot tables and data driven graphics.
• Fast and accurate typing and a solid attention to detail.
• An enquiring mind and a flexible attitude. Must be a team player.
• Excellent telephone manner and the ability to foster relationships both internally and externally.
• Asian language skills will be of benefit, particularly conversational and business Chinese language.
