Job Description


  • Very well conversant and experienced with strength, structural stability, vibration and fatigue as applied to offshore and marine structures.
  • Skilled in modelling, analysing, designing offshore structures and mechanical components and/or sub-systems using calculation tools such as MATHCAD, Spreadsheets and software such as ANSYS and NX.
  • Preparation of technical reports (in good written English) for use as basis for supporting the engineering projects and activity.
  • Apply standards and regulations in conjunction with specification / data sheets / technical description / drawings / calculations and such for project specific structural design and mechanical components as well as generic designs.
  • Define the calculation / analyses procedures / design premises and reports to allow acceptance by the classification society, verification bodies and in compliance with client specs, regulations and safety standards.
  • To deliver on schedule in modelling, analysing, reports and to prepare good technical reports for design and engineering.

Reporting and working style :

  • Report to the Engineering Director and in his absence the Principal Mooring Engineer / Naval Architect.
  • Prioritizing and organizing work meticulously as required for the project and tasks assigned. Also, prioritizing work for different projects that need to be carried out at the same time.
  • Interacting / liaise with project team, workshop team as necessary during execution of a project involving structural / steel fabrication by providing technical support to the stakeholders.
  • Maintain confidentiality throughout employment and even after leaving the organization as being part of engineering development.

Job Requirement:

  • A structural engineer with Bachelor degree in Naval Architecture / Offshore Engineering with about 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.

Excellent problem solving skills and a passion for technical / engineering calculations with good accuracy, Good knowledge of English language and also Positive team player attitude are required.
