About the role
The Art Director will be responsible for work produced on behalf of our clients, as well as any work created for Viddsee. You are required to conceptualise, produce and implement disruptive creative and content that solve both the clients’ and Viddsee’s briefs or goals. You are also expected to maintain our company’s standards of creative excellence.
The Art Director will also be working closely with different internal teams within Viddsee to support and create assets for a wide range of campaigns for audiences and clients alike.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ideate, visualise, create, direct and execute original and iconic creative concepts and original story ideas in response to client briefs, objectives or goals.
- Demonstrate a sharp understanding of strategy project briefs and creative platforms to facilitate discussions with teams and craft exceptional pitch decks.
- Manage multiple projects from concept through to completion, working with peers, managers and both in-house resources and creative third-party vendor to produce the desired content.
- Develop creative that meets both our clients’ objectives as well as our business objectives, maintaining the company’s expected levels of creative excellence and professionalism.
- Required to go on-site to work closely with the production lead, ensuring that the art direction is clear and executed as planned, maintaining the desired creative standards throughout the production process.
- Present, share and review creative work with the Creative Lead and relevant Project Leads as well as members of the Management Team
- Produce original and impactful ideas independently, as well as in a team
- Provide art direction and original designs for effective advertising campaigns
- Develop on-brand designs and interfaces, for online and offline collaterals
- Incorporate feedback and changes from the wider team
Experience and Attributes
- 2-3 years working as a creative, ideally in the advertising industry.
- Proficiency in sketching for storyboarding and the ability to execute creative shoots, from sketching all the way to illustration.
- Strong storytelling skills, with an understanding of how to convey compelling narratives visually.
- Proficiency in photography, including executing creative shoots for pitches and performing image touch-up and post-processing.
- Sound knowledge of print and online media, including social media.
- Knowledge of motion graphics / video editing is preferred.
- Skilled and proficient in Adobe Suite and other visual productivity tools.
- Clear and honest communication skills with managers, peers, and clients.
- Ability to present work to clients and internal teams
- Passionate about art directing and always striving to improve the level of craft.
