Job description

Position: Junior Accounts Assistant
Industry: Accounting & Professional Services
Salary: $2,800 – $3,300/month
Working Days: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm
Location: Tai Seng

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with full set of accounts for multiple client entities, including data entry, AP/AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.

  • Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.

  • Help prepare tax submissions (e.g. GST, corporate tax) and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.

  • Coordinate with internal accountants and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretarial teams when needed.

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records for all assigned clients.

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the accounting team as required.

  • Assist in the implementation of accounting systems and process improvements.

Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or an audit/accounting firm preferred (entry-level candidates with internships in similar environments may also be considered).

  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB) and Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple client deadlines.

  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
