Job summary

Mediacorp Pte Ltd’s CNA online platform is seeking an experienced journalist to develop and deliver stories about Singapore for its digital audience.

You will report on news and developments, cultivate sources, and produce multimedia content ranging from breaking news to in-depth features, including exclusives and interviews. Strong English writing and a network of contacts are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mass Communication, Arts and Social Sciences or related areas.
• Be a motivated self-starter.
• At least 1 year of journalism experience, preferably for an online news platform
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• A proven track record of delivering articles which showcase strong journalism skills, such as exclusives, in-depth analyses or brilliantly written features.
• An outstanding grasp of current issues and news both locally and globally.
• An extensive network of contacts
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
• Be prepared to work irregular hours and weekends.
