Job summary

Mediacorp seeks an experienced journalist to develop and deliver stories about Singapore for CNA’s online platform. You will report on local news, cultivate sources, and deliver exclusive features and interviews.

The role requires sharp writing, strong network of contacts, and the ability to work under tight deadlines, including irregular hours and weekends. A degree in Mass Communication or related fields is essential.

Qualifications

• A Degree in Mass Communication, Arts and Social Sciences or related areas.
• Be a motivated self-starter.
• At least 1 year of journalism experience, preferably for an online news platform
• Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Proven track record of delivering articles with exclusives, in-depth analyses or features.
• An outstanding grasp of current issues locally and globally.
• An extensive network of contacts
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
• Be prepared to work irregular hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Report on Singapore news and developments for CNA's online platform.
• Identify and pursue news leads by cultivating sources and contacts.
