Job Description
Assistant Professor in Political Science
The Department of Political Science at the National University of Singapore invites application for one full-time tenure-track position in Political Science at the rank of Assistant Professor. We welcome applications from candidates working in all subfields, including but not limited to international relations (including non-traditional security and human security), international political economy, gender politics, global studies, and governance and public policy. We also encourage applications from candidates with research experience relating to Asia and whose backgrounds are traditionally underrepresented in the discipline.
The teaching load is three courses per academic year. Compensation is competitive and includes eligibility for annual performance bonus and salary increment, subsidized housing, medical benefits, and substantial research support. Successful candidates are expected to teach graduate and undergraduate classes and take a leading role in developing new departmental initiatives.Candidates with publications in top outlets who conduct innovative and impactful research using, eg. computational methods, may also be invited to apply for the Presidential Young Professorship:NUS Programmes
