Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers and AHPs to prepare and assess students' readiness for job attachments and placements.
- Identify and support students to develop confidence and interest in work before attachments.
- Source and arrange job attachment opportunities (school-based, community-based, industrial-based).
- Provide job matching for students.
- Analyze and evaluate the suitability of job sites.
- Prepare students for job attachments.
- Negotiate employment terms with employers post-attachment, if applicable.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to students on the job.
- Collaborate with families, teachers, community partners, and employers to support students during attachments and readiness.
- Support vocational curriculum and resources development with school staff.
- Contribute to and support students' IEP/ITP in collaboration with teachers and staff.
- Conduct training/sharing sessions with school staff on trends supporting students at worksites.
- Develop training plans and materials for in-house training (e.g., travel training, interview skills, grooming), collaborating with staff.
- Conduct pre- and post-vocational assessments of students.
- Maintain reports and records related to attachments and interviews.
- Plan and monitor attachments when out-of-school options are unavailable.
- Coordinate work exposure activities like learning journeys and job shadowing.
- Work with TPC and post-school agencies to ensure smooth transitions into school-to-work programs and post-school services.
- Support school programs to enhance students' holistic learning experiences.
- Engage with caregivers, case workers, and employers to support and sustain students' work attachments.
- Collaborate with departments like EDC, MINDS Institute, Caregiver Support Services, Me-Too Club, and others to provide holistic support and opportunities for students.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.

- A strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and independent.
- Willing to think creatively when working with people with intellectual disabilities.
