Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of working experience in SPED school or Social Service Agency.
  • Experience with persons with special needs is an advantage.
  • Self-motivated with stakeholder management skills.

Job description

Job Title: Job Coach, E-Commerce Fulfilment Training Centre @Lakeside (1 year contract)

The Job Coach will support the job matching of persons with special needs into suitable job roles in the E-commerce and Logistic Industry. He/She will liaise and collaborate with key stakeholders to identify workplace requirements and oversee placement of trainees into related job roles. He/She will work with the employers to identify required training and accommodations at the workplace for long term continued employment of these trainees. He/She provides job coaching support for a specified duration after the trainees are placed into jobs.

Job Responsibilities

Source and secure relevant employment/training opportunities

  • Provide job support and coaching to trainees
  • Develop effective job coaching and employment plans
  • Assist trainees to discover and overcome their personal barriers and set goals
  • Discover trainees’ strengths, motivate, work with them to develop their skills
  • Guide trainees in learning to complete job tasks
  • Plan and co-ordinate work exposure activities such as learning journeys / job fairs for trainees.
  • Keep records and documentation and prepare appropriate reports for job support and interviews.

Conduct job-readiness assessment

  • Profile trainees to employers for suitable job roles
  • Advise on workplace accommodations for employers
  • Monitor and evaluate progress of trainees
  • Provide Post-placement job support
  • Work closely with families and employers in supporting trainees to achieve job sustainability.
  • Obtain feedback from industry employers on further support and training of clients during job placement.
  • Collaborate with AHP / Job coaches/ Trainer to provide intervention to clients

Requirements

  • A diploma in any discipline with at least 3 years of working experience in SPED school or Social Service Agency.
  • Experience in working with persons with special needs will be an added advantage,
  • Strong people management and coaching skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • A self-motivated individual to manage stakeholders to build relationships and drive collaboration
