Junior Network Engineer – Infrastructure Operations & Support

We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Network Engineer with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for maintaining high-performing, secure IT infrastructure. If you're someone who thrives in operational environments and enjoys working with enterprise network systems, this role is for you.
1. Network Configuration & Troubleshooting
Be the go-to expert for setting up and resolving issues across a variety of network platforms, including:
Huawei Technologies: Layer 2/3 switches, Wireless LAN Controller, iMaster NCE-Campus, and NCE-Campus Insight.
SolarWinds Toolsets: Network Performance Monitor, NetFlow Traffic Analyzer, Network Configuration Manager, and Kiwi Syslog.
Security Platforms: SIEM systems and Ivanti Network Access Control.
2. Day-to-Day Operations & Network Administration
Ensure smooth and efficient running of all network operations.
Perform routine maintenance and provide support for network-related issues.
3. Maintenance and Upkeep
Identify and assist with the installation of necessary network components.
Proactively escalate network performance issues to the appropriate teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve traffic bottlenecks.
Conduct end-to-end testing of the network against performance benchmarks.
Apply firmware updates and patches to all network hardware within the ICT environment.
4. Technical Troubleshooting & User Support
Offer in-depth support for technical faults and ensure minimal downtime.
Utilize analytical skills to pinpoint and address root causes of network issues.
5. Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor real-time network activity and performance.
Generate regular reports and metrics for internal stakeholders.
6. Configuration & Change Management
Apply structured processes for configuration updates and system changes.
7. Documentation & Compliance
Maintain detailed records of network configurations, changes, and incident logs.
Adhere to established cable patching and data center cable management practices.
8. Cybersecurity & Firewall Knowledge
A working knowledge of firewall systems and cybersecurity monitoring tools is essential.
