Job summary

Overmugged in Singapore is hiring a Sec/JC Physics Tutor to teach Secondary through JC level in small classes, following our centre curriculum. You’ll explain kinematics, forces, waves, and electricity with clear worked examples and track student progress.

Qualifications

• Strong Physics knowledge and teaching experience at Sec/JC level.
• One of: experienced tutor, ex/current MOE teacher, university graduate or undergraduate.
• Clear, patient communicator who connects with students and parents.
• Reliable and committed to students' progress.

Responsibilities

• Teach Secondary Physics and/or H2 Physics in small-group classes following the centre curriculum.
• Demonstrate topics with clear working and worked examples (kinematics, forces, waves, electricity).
• Plan lessons and prepare materials with the curriculum team.
• Track students' progress and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with fellow Science tutors and learn from the team.

We're hiring a Physics tutor to teach from Secondary to JC level, whichever you're strongest in. Our Bishan branch is expanding into a bigger space to fit more students and more tutors, so you'd be joining right as that growth happens.

What you'll do

• Teach Secondary Physics and/or H2 Physics in small-group classes, following the centre's curriculum.
• Make tricky topics such as kinematics, forces, waves and electricity click through clear working and worked examples.
• Plan lessons and prepare materials with our curriculum team.
• Track students' progress and give clear feedback to students and parents.
• Share ideas with fellow Science tutors and learn from the team.
