Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Singapore is seeking a Java Full Stack Developer to join a cross-functional agile delivery team. You will design, develop, and implement innovative solutions focusing on business value, with delivery across UI and REST services.

We expect at least 4 years in programming, strong Java (8+), React, HTML/CSS/JS, and cloud deployment experience. The role requires collaboration, TDD, and a collaborative, on-site with hybrid work pattern in a diverse environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software engineering, CS/IT or related field.
• 4+ years of programming experience in Java (Java 8+).
• Experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React.
• Fluency in Traditional Chinese to liaise with North Asia clients.
• Deep knowledge of modern programming language(s), ideally Java.
• Hands-on deployment of applications on cloud platforms.
• Experience with test-driven development and CI.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Experience in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban/XP).
• Experience in Functional Analysis is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or utilities.
• Analyse user needs and develop software solutions using CS/engineering principles.
• Update software, test, and validate procedures.
• Integrate hardware and software systems and define requirements.
• Develop software in Java, with REST services and UI interfaces.
• Build data-grid centric UI and service-oriented architectures.
• Engineer legacy applications into modern architectures.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to agile software development processes.
• Apply BDD, write clean code, and refactor continually.
• Work across UI, services, and databases as a generalizing specialist.
• Contribute to architectural decisions at department and bank-wide levels.
• Provide on-call support and maintain automated CD pipelines.
• Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
