Job summary

Capgemini is seeking experienced Java Developers to join our development team, focusing on banking solutions. You will be instrumental in developing and enhancing Java services, microservices architecture, and secure APIs using JDK 17+ and Spring ecosystem.

You will work with cross-functional teams, emphasize security, performance, and regulatory compliance, and contribute to a dynamic, Agile environment with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java.
  • Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
  • Experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
  • Multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning.
  • Relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices.
  • Cloud familiarity (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaborative skills in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Java services and APIs within end-to-end processing for banking solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and influence architectural decisions.
  • Participate in code reviews and share knowledge with team members.
  • Ensure regulatory, security, and audit compliance for financial systems.

  • Handle multi-threading, concurrency, and performance optimization in Java applications.

Role Overview:

Capgemini is seeking experienced Java Developers to join our development team. You will be instrumental in developing and enhancing banking solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Work with subject matter experts to develop solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Develop java services integrated in the end-to-end processing.
  • Design and code a significant amount of a robust, secure and efficient API to persist / retrieve data and implement the business logic.
  • Responsible for all aspects of software development and production support (L3).
  • Participation in code reviews and sharing of knowledge with other members of the team.
  • Provide technical leadership and influence architectural decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and audit requirements (especially relevant for financial systems).
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java (JDK 17+) and related frameworks.
  • Design and implement microservices architecture using Spring ecosystem.
  • Work with messaging systems such as Kafka for event-driven architectures.
  • Implement multi-threading, concurrency handling, and performance optimization in Java applications.
  • Ensure code quality using design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean coding practices.
  • Implement security best practices including OAuth2, JWT, encryption, and secure coding standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 - 7 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java.
  • Strong proficiency in Java (JDK 17+), Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.
  • Experience working with Kafka or similar messaging/event-streaming platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong knowledge of software design principles, including SOLID and design patterns.
  • Experience implementing application security standards (OAuth2, JWT, encryption).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
