Job summary

Visa Hunt is seeking a skilled software engineer to design, develop, document, test and deliver a high-performance AFC system or back-office solution. The role requires Java/JEE expertise, Spring Framework, containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and experience across the full SDLC within Linux/UNIX and Windows environments.

You will gather requirements, model designs, and liaise with users to ensure robust delivery, while applying Agile practices and CI/CD in a DevOps context.

Qualifications

• Recognised degree in Computer Science, IT or engineering with at least 5 years’ relevant experience in software development.
• Experience in Java/JEE, web programming on UNIX/Linux and Windows.
• Proficiency with SQL/DAO, and MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Experience in Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Experience in Software Modernization, Containerization, Microservices.
• Experience in Agile development and CI/CD.
• Experience in writing requirements/specifications and UML modelling.
• Proficiency in AWS ECS and Docker containerization with DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test and deliver the software solution for an AFC system or high-volume back office.
• Gather requirements and liaise with users on design and testing issues.
• Prepare deliverables across SDLC, including specifications and manuals.
• Provide day-to-day application support to the Authority and project stakeholders.
