Responsibilities:
Provide routine patient care and ensure their comfort and well-being
Accurately document patients’ physical assessments, including height, weight, visual acuity, audiometry results, and nursing observations
Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques when attending to patients
Perform regular inventory checks of medical equipment, surgical instruments, and supplies
Demonstrate professional conduct to uphold and enhance service quality standards
Maintain a safe, hygienic, and orderly clinical environment for patients
Consolidate laboratory, radiology (e.g. x-ray), and specialist reports
Follow up on physicians’ instructions regarding lab tests, imaging, and review of results
Ensure timely availability of results and promptly alert physicians of any urgent or abnormal findings
Dispense prescribed medications accurately
Manage clinic communications, including handling phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, and send appointment reminders
Register patients and manage their records effectively
Process insurance claims and ensure coverage for consultations, treatments, medications, surgeries, and hospital admissions
Liaise with Japanese insurance providers to obtain Letters of Guarantee (LOG)
Coordinate with specialist clinics, hospitals, laboratories, and radiology providers regarding billing matters
Track and follow up on outstanding payments from corporate clients, insurance companies, and self-paying patients
Support various administrative duties and daily operations within the clinic
Perform additional tasks as assigned by clinic management
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinic or general hospital setting
Proficiency in the Japanese language to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking patients
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of the Platos System is preferred
Candidates registered with the Singapore Nursing Board will be at an advantage
