Japanese Speaking Clinic Assistant [Up to $4,000 + AWS + VB]

Responsibilities:

1. Provide routine patient care and ensure their comfort and well-being
2. Accurately document patients’ physical assessments, including height, weight, visual acuity, audiometry results, and nursing observations
3. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques when attending to patients
4. Perform regular inventory checks of medical equipment, surgical instruments, and supplies
5. Demonstrate professional conduct to uphold and enhance service quality standards
6. Maintain a safe, hygienic, and orderly clinical environment for patients
7. Consolidate laboratory, radiology (e.g. x-ray), and specialist reports
8. Follow up on physicians’ instructions regarding lab tests, imaging, and review of results
9. Ensure timely availability of results and promptly alert physicians of any urgent or abnormal findings
10. Dispense prescribed medications accurately
11. Manage clinic communications, including handling phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries
12. Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, and send appointment reminders
13. Register patients and manage their records effectively
14. Process insurance claims and ensure coverage for consultations, treatments, medications, surgeries, and hospital admissions
15. Liaise with Japanese insurance providers to obtain Letters of Guarantee (LOG)
16. Coordinate with specialist clinics, hospitals, laboratories, and radiology providers regarding billing matters
17. Track and follow up on outstanding payments from corporate clients, insurance companies, and self-paying patients
18. Support various administrative duties and daily operations within the clinic
19. Perform additional tasks as assigned by clinic management

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinic or general hospital setting
2. Proficiency in the Japanese language to communicate effectively with Japanese-speaking patients
3. Proficient in Microsoft Excel
4. Knowledge of the Platos System is preferred
5. Candidates registered with the Singapore Nursing Board will be at an advantage
