Job description

An IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation & Qualification) Engineer focuses on ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software and hardware systems by planning, executing, and reporting on integration, verification, validation, and qualification activities. Their responsibilities include defining test strategies, creating test plans, managing resources, and collaborating with project teams to ensure adherence to requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Planning and Execution:

· Plan and execute IVVQ activities, including defining test strategies, modules, and practices.

Test Planning and Reporting:

· Create and conduct system test plans and reports, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the system under test.

Resource Management:

· Manage and optimize test resources, including staff, software, and hardware.

Collaboration and Communication:

· Work closely with system engineers and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on testing durations, project risks, and defect management.

Defect Management:

· Manage defects and engineering changes, ensuring timely resolution and impact analysis.

Estimation and Costing:

· Contributes to the estimation, planning, and execution of IVVQ activities, including providing scope and costing for bid activities.

Integration and Qualification:

· Participate in system integration activities, including qualification of the system architecture.

Platform Management:

· Maintain and optimize IVVQ platforms, ensuring they are functional and reliable.

Tool Management:

· Manage and support tools used for monitoring, troubleshooting, and analysis.

Supplier Coordination:

· Coordinate with suppliers regarding services and solutions, and follow up on any issues.

Requirement Analysis:

· Interpret and analyze requirements, ensuring they are clearly defined and implemented correctly.

Test Environment Setup:

· Ensure the design and implementation of test platforms, including the necessary tools and infrastructure.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

· Degree in Electrical / Electronic / Telecommunications Engineering

· 5 years of experience working in the relevant field/industry

· Strong understanding of IVVQ principles and processes:

This includes knowledge of different testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.

· Experience in system integration, verification, and validation:

This includes experience in testing different types of systems, such as software, hardware, and embedded systems.

· Knowledge of defect management tools and workflows:

This includes experience in reporting, characterizing, and managing defects.

· Project management and communication skills:

This includes the ability to plan, execute, and report on IVVQ activities, as well as to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

· Problem-solving and analytical skills:

This includes the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems related to system integration, verification, and validation.

· Experience with relevant tools and platforms:

This may include experience with tools for test management, requirements management, and defect tracking.

· Experience with Unix/Linux systems:

This is beneficial for working with different types of systems.
