Job summary

A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking an IT/OT Engineer to modernize manufacturing operations in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing automation solutions, maintaining operational technology systems, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards. This position requires a proactive engineer with extensive experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry who excels in problem-solving and communication.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of engineering experience in Automation within the Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Skills in Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) within automation (CSV).
  • Knowledge in GxP, HSE, and Quality systems required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions including DCS/MES and PLCs.
  • Operate and maintain OT systems and tools.
  • Conduct risk assessments and manage calibration activities.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions (DCS/MES, control networks, Historian, PLCs, BMS).
  2. Operate and maintain OT systems, tools, and applications.
  3. Support IT/OT services including asset inventory, configuration management.
  4. Plan, execute, and document calibration and maintenance activities. Conduct risk assessments, obtain permits, and manage technician allocation.
  5. Perform investigations, change requests, and ensure compliance with engineering documentation standards, leveraging best practices.
  6. Bring 5 years of engineering experience in Automation within the Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry.
  7. Proven ability to resolve software/automation problems and maintain reliable operation of all building control/automation systems while supporting global standards. Strong communication skills are essential.
  8. Skills in Commissioning & Qualification (C&Q) within automation (CSV).
  9. Extended knowledge of GxP, HSE, and Quality systems.
  10. Knowledge in Emerson Syncade and OSISoft PI Historian.
